Oh man… nothing went right for this poor couple. They gave themselves two years to plan a wedding, which should have made things easy. One month before their wedding, the venue they had booked went bankrupt and they lost their deposit. Then the band came into some money from betting on horses and decided to go on a vacation. Then their photographer couldn’t make it. Erin basically had to plan a new wedding in one month. While very pregnant. They wound up getting married at the bride’s parents’ home in Divide, which was beautiful and way more meaningful than any venue could have been. Their dog was the ring bearer, their cake was fantastically unique, and everyone was smiling. I’m seriously amazed at how well everything went in the end, which I think is a lesson to us all not to get so caught up in our plans and expectations. Life will throw curveballs, but things have a tendency to work out in ways you don’t always expect. As a recent bride, I know how easy it is to get caught up in thinking things have to look a certain way and x amount of Pinterest ideas *must* be implemented, but guests are really there to show their support and see two people they love commit to each other. The pretty details are nice, but they pale in comparison to the joy that radiates from every couple on their wedding day. I wish all three of you a happy life together and hope your son enjoys looking back at these pictures one day!
