Meet your (Kind of Nerdy) wedding photographer

Hello, it’s me.
(Sara)

If you found your way here, chances are you’re planning a wedding. And chances are equally high that you’re already overwhelmed with all the decisions there are to make.
I’m glad you’re here.
It’s hard to choose a photographer. Yes, of course, technical skill matters. But it’s also an expression of trust to let a stranger follow you around on your wedding day, particularly if it’s just the three of us. It will feel way more natural if we get to know each other a bit. I hope you’re prepared to have a super nerdy wedding photographer follow you around all day.

Perhaps, like me, the last time you were professionally photographed was at the end of high school. And perhaps, also like me, that wasn’t the most natural experience. To answer the obvious questions: yes, the shoulder pads are real. No, the library is not.
This is not a *normal* process for most people
but I work hard to make it as enjoyable as possible.

Her personality made the day better; such a sweet and goofy soul. —Emily and Colin

Nerdy wedding photographer, dapper dog.

I grew up in Wyoming and spent about 95% of my childhood barefoot in the outdoors. If I have free time at home, chances are I’m reading a book, building something out of Lego, or re-watching Arrested Development for the hundredth time. My husband is an expert in native plants, so we like to combine our skills by going on hikes and creating flashcards of the local flora we can find.

We live in Aurora with our dog, Frisco (named after the town we found him in). We recently said goodbye to our other pup, Buster. He was the greatest dog that has ever existed and nobody will ever convince me otherwise.

I want to meet your dog.

A family of unashamed geeks

My husband and I love playing board & video games and can spend hours discussing how Game of Thrones should have ended. I used to enjoy rafting until I almost drowned on our first date. As a result, we now stick to camping, hiking, and other land-based activities. We are also passionate about music, terrible movies, cooking, and (though they make it tough) the Broncos.

And now it’s not just the two of us! Our son is the happiest, kindest, cleverest person I have ever met. He has changed our lives for the better in countless ways. For anyone on the fence about having children, let me tell you this: they don’t NOT expand your possibilities for group costumes.

And the double negative is proof positive.

Let’s plan your next adventure!
